Scott Hooper has been making a difference in the lives of kids since he was basically a kid himself (In fact, if you were to ask him, he might say that he still is a kid!) For the last twenty-four years he has served as the Children’s Pastor at Cottonwood Church in Dublin, Texas. He has invested deeply in the lives of thousands of kids, and challenges those he comes into contact with to think differently about life. Scott is passionate about making Scripture accessible for everyone, and in his constant pursuit of developing fresh curriculum for various ministries, he seeks to break down core values in a way that makes them applicable. He is a strong believer in the idea of synthesizing biblical examples with modern life in order to give a practical approach to positive life change.
Scott is a graduate of Tarleton State University, where he graduated in Communication. To say he puts that degree to good use is to put it mildly. Over the years he has worked in radio broadcasting writing and producing commercials and has scripted and filmed videos for use in ministry and SSV.
Scott is currently a board member with Kids Across Cultures, an organization that has been instrumental to supplying clean water to villages in China. He is currently working with Matt Miller to develop InspireAKid.com, an online hub for value-driven content and dedicated to inspiring kids to greatness in schools, religious organizations and non-religious organizations across the country. As a part of School Spirit Vending, Scott is responsible for keeping content fun, developing product video and audio commercials for schools, and designing the board games used in SSV packaging.
