Jeff has spent most of his career involved with marketing and the technology that revolves around it. Starting out at an ad agency as a copywriter, Jeff quickly moved up to Creative Director, a role in which he produced, wrote, or directed over 500 commercials. Jeff excelled in this role, and after winning a few awards he caught the attention of Disney. Relocating to L.A., Jeff worked with basically every major studio, directing movie trailers, producing TV shows, and even making a feature film.
Following the destruction wrought by Hurricane Katrina, Jeff and his wife moved to Houston in 2006 to be closer to family. He had started building websites back in the early days of the web, and upon moving to Houston, Jeff really began to focus on web technology. Some of his clients have included Waste Management, Sony Pictures Television, and now School Spirit Vending.
Matt and Jeff met around 2006, and quickly collaborated by selling stickers based on Jeff’s Prayer Pups comic strip. This initial venture helped move SSV towards creating and packaging their own designs, which is now an integral part of the business. In a way, this was the catalyst towards moving the vending machines into schools and allowing SSV to see the explosive growth of the last several years. Fittingly, Jeff was the one to design the first mascot-related stickers for use with in-school vending machines. Jeff now does all the tech stuff for SSV, whether it’s web design, app development, or animation.
